CO, Certified Orthotist
Joe Kearns began his career at R & J Prosthetic in 1985 as a technician while working on his practitioner certification. After attending school and taking his practicum exams, he was certified as a Registered Orthopedic Technologist (ROT). In 2001, Joe attained his American Board for Certification as a Certified Orthotist (CO). With over 30 years of experience in the O&P field, Joe has become the most experienced CO specializing in scoliosis, long-term fracture, CVA trauma, post-polio, Guillain-Barre, and sports/athletic bracing in Ventura/Oxnard. In addition, Joe has advanced certification with computer-controlled knee orthoses.
Joe frequently participates in community outreach by partnering with the Ventura County Health Care System in their fall prevention clinic, delivering Post-Polio presentations to groups affected by this condition, and supporting acute clinical rehabilitation.
